Helene Reflections- Six Months After the Storm

This week marks six months since Hurricane Helene devastated western North Carolina and left a permanent scar on the lives of thousands of students across the High Country. As students and educators alike continue to reel from the long-term effects of the storm and its aftermath, one Upward Bound senior wanted to share her thoughts on the positives that came out of the destruction.

Please listen to her message and hear about how with the help of her family and school support programs (like Upward Bound and College Advising Corps), she found hope, meaning, and direction during Hurricane Helene.
