Gloria Medina

About: Gloria Medina is the program director of the Appalachian College Advising Corps, which places recent college graduates in high schools throughout Western NC to serve as full-time college and next steps advisers. Gloria has also previously served as an assistant program director and a college adviser with the College Advising Corps. Gloria is a Morganton, NC native and has resided in North Carolina for most of her life. Her desire is for all students in rural Appalachia to have the support and resources they need to make well-informed decisions about their futures. Gloria resides in Granite Falls, NC with her husband and two-year-old son.

Education: BA in Journalism & Mass Communication from UNC-Chapel Hill | M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from NC State University
